If we talk about Samsung, we all know that Samsung is one of the world’s largest memory chip maker so we can assume anything exceptional from them. Previously, Samsung launched a massive 15.36TB SSD which is the highest capacity SSD in the world. Now Samsung launched the T5 portable SSD in India which was unveiled earlier this month. This SSD uses Samsung’s latest 64-layer V-NAND technology which can deliver the transfer speed of up to 540MBps with encrypted data security. The Samsung PSSD T5 is available in two color options – Deep Black which has 1TB and 2TB models and Alluring Blue which have 250GB and 500GB models. The 250GB version is priced at Rs 13,500 whereas the 500GB version is priced at Rs 21,000. The 1Tb and 2TB model are priced at Rs 40,000 and Rs 80,000. Sukesh Jain who is the Vice President, IT & Mobile Enterprise Business, Samsung India said “At Samsung, we work towards delivering meaningful innovations and the Portable SSD T5 continues our legacy of leadership and innovation. We are confident that the T5 will exceed consumers’ expectations for external storage by offering 4.9 times faster speeds than external HDD products and a solid metal design that is lightweight and conveniently pocket-sized. “ “T5 is surely a stunning proposition for Power Users like Media Professionals, Technology Enthusiasts, Content Creators and Business Professionals,” According to Samsung, the T5 is smaller than an average business card and weighs just 51 grams. The Portable SSD can fit in the palm of your hand. Not only these, the SSD can withstand any accidental drops of up to two meters.
